Generally, you can get a pretty good deal if it's a last minute cruise. I booked an 11-day cruise in December for the Caribbean (St. Maarten, Martinique, Half Moon Cay [private island in the bahamas] - two adults for about $1800 taxes in. Just remember that excursions, alcohol, port fees, travel to and from the ship are not included in the fare.
